Procrastination Stories

Welcome to the Deviously Distracting Stories

Step right up and enjoy a collection of my short stories, handpicked from the treasure trove of my family memories, mysterious snapshots I found buried in various closets in my Mom’s house, sent to me by family, and whatever else happens to pop into my head while I’m pretending to be productive.

What You’ll Find Here

  • Tall tales spun from forgotten photographs: Yes, that’s Aunt Lilly and Aunt Alice sliding down a hill in Alaska when they lived there during the Great Depression. There are some stories there. Two women in the snow in Alaska 1930s
  • Family anecdotes: The kind that make reunions awkward.
  • Foibles on Camping Trips? Say it isn’t so! Hilariously, it is.
  • Random musings: Because sometimes inspiration hits while I’m taking a shower (why I have whiteboards in my shower. Shut Up! It works).

Why am I doing this?

Let’s say I’m sharpening my storytelling skills. And by that, I mean avoiding working on my “big, important” manuscript (and by “big, important” that is only in my head).

Get Involved!

Read a story that tickles your funny bone? Or did I accidentally slander your favorite cousin, actor, or politician? Awesome! Please drop me a comment! Feedback, encouragement, or creative heckling is always welcome.

P.S. If you were expecting serious literature, Congratulations! You won’t find that here. What you’ve stumbled into is the coziest corner of shameless procrastination on the internet.

  1. Wandered over from the Book of Face. I can always do with some procrastination. Maybe you will spur me to write again.
