About Me

About Me

Once called a “Librarian slash Secret Agent” by a seatmate on an international flight, I’ve embraced this philosophy

Me doing my librarian thing in Athens, Greece. As one does.

Once dubbed a “librarian/secret agent” (yes, I have glasses, a mysterious glare, and travel the world). When not at my ‘real job’, I spend my days crafting short stories about family, friends, historical events, photos I find amongst the various boxes, scrapbooks, and stuff in my studio, and the outrageous moments from my gloriously mis-spent youth.

When I’m not exposing my deepest secrets for the world to laugh at, I’m on a mission to achieve financial freedom, preferably before YouTube TV asks if I’m still watching. My budget is so tight it squeaks and I suspect that most financial advisors would consider my debt paydown plan to be fiction. FYI, it’s not. I’m making that shit happen!

Be warned: I spill my guts with a subtlety of a clown tossing candy at a parade, complete with enough profanity to make your grandma clutch her pearls. Be warned!

My Values

  • Dogs: Let’s be honest, dogs are a thousand times better than most people.
  • Wine: because it is delicious and easier to make than a cocktail.
  • Vegetarian Food: plants don’t judge my life choices.
  • Libraries and Librarians: Where shushing is a sport and who are the keepers of silence and knowledge. Librarians are feared by many, and we like it that way.
  • Women: because supporting and believing women should be a no-brainer.
  • Empathy: for everyone except printers and evildoers.
  • Oxford Comma: because clarity is sexy.
  • Sarcasm: it is my love language.

I’m usually a little too much for most people, but if you are brave and don’t mind a bit (or a whole lot of profanity), it all depends on the day and my mood. You’ll find me here, or at the library, bar, or pub, likely with my dog, a plate of French fries topped with blue cheese, and a glass of wine.
